TRIBEX Corporation was founded in 1987 by Alan Brigham, Werner Knebel
and Wendell Moyer, Ph.D.. All three founding members had extensive
backgrounds in Process Engineering, Polymer Chemistry and Machine
Design including a wide variety of Patents on Surface and Polymer
Chemistry. From the standpoint of capability, this gave TRIBEX a
substantial capability from the start.
The founding members had identified a need for customized release coatings on the west coast in support of the regional converting base. Further, the larger Silicone Release Liner Manufacturers were unwilling to service such "Minor" customers. TRIBEX had successfully identified our market niche. Through the first several years of operation, TRIBEX was able to garner a respectable share of the west coast converting market. Our customers began to spread to other applications (Medical, Composites, Aerospace....) as well as other markets (central and eastern US). We have recently opened our new Rocklin, Ca facility. The new facility houses our new 68" coating line as well as New Slitting Equipment, Warehousing and Administrative functions.
